Daikin Altherma Air Source Heat Pump from Daikin is approved under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).  As a certified product under MCS, Daikin Altherma qualifies for grant aid.

The MCS gives consumers the guarantee that certified Microgeneration products and the MCS certified installers of those products have conformed to a rigorous set of standards. The criteria for product certification include evaluation of manufacturing quality and operation performance, to ensure the certified products deliver the required levels of energy efficiency and therefore, running cost savings.  As part of the programme, applicants must use both certified MCS products and an approved MCS installer. Grant applications have to be made prior to any installation being undertaken, and the approved installer has to originate the application.
